The investment volume in CE countries (CZE, HUN, POL, ROM, SVK) in Q1 2018 reached almost EUR 2.68 bln representing an increase of 8% y-o-y.
Whereas in Q1 2017, the CE investment volume was driven by the Czech Republic, in Q1 2018, Poland clearly dominated the region with more than EUR 2.1 bln transacted in Q1.
In Q1 2018, retail dominated CE investment figures with almost EUR 2 bln transacted. However, it was due to strong investment into Polish retail assets (almost EUR 1.8 bln was transacted in retail in Poland in Q1 2018).
In Q1 2018, in the CE region, retail accounted for 74%, offices for 18% and industrial for 6%.
According to our optimistic scenario forecast, CE Investment volume in 2018 could exceed EUR 11.8 bln in 2018. This would represent another y-o-y increase and a new historical high.
